Thomas Brassey and the Duchess
Welcome to the second house
of the Duchess of Sutherland show: this time it's the 18 June
'Thomas Brassey bicentenary' run, this time
enivened by some passenger's eye views. Unfortunately the weather was
very unkind to photographers, with very hugh humidity and cloud cover
most of the day, but thanks to everyone who did their best to bring us
these pictures.
We'll be back with a more usual type of update in a couple of days
(after Charlie & Joanna's 20th wedding anniversary!) including all
the interesting contributions which are still in the intray. Apologies
for the slightly more than usual disorganisation in the sequencing of
these Notice Board pages lately....

Ian Bowland writes: 'Here's a sequence of four showing the
charter crossing the A55 at Penmaenhead ...

'... and heading towards Colwyn Bay.

' I guess the high humidity contributed
to the extended trail of steam as it rounded the bay.

'Steam was still coming out of the tunnel long after the train had
disappeared.'
